On 29th January, Boeing released financial results for 2019

Obviously there has been more interest in these results than normal given the situation.

The figures were going to reflect the severity of the 737 Max groundings. The question was just how bad were they going to be?….

In terms of output the company delivered only 380 airlines in 2019, sharply down on the 806 in the previous year. Analysts had also estimated that Boeing had been losing $1 billion a month since the grounding. Its problems look to continue as Boeing has been unable to deliver new planes resulting in a number of multi-billion compensation claims and some sales have been pulled, reports the UK’s Telegraph newspaper.
