ON STAND AT AMW 2025 IN MELBOURNE

If you didn’t get to go to Australian Manufacturing Week 2025, the Manufacturers’ Monthly article below gives you a taste of who was speaking and some of their themes. We also give our personal perspective at Ronson Gears about our time at the event.

Ronson Gears joined over 300+ exhibitors promoting the latest services and innovations. We were showcasing the advantages of our recently commissioned Makino A500x 5 Axis milling machine.

The article features insight from some of the key speakers both from political and industry figures. The MM article focusses on the very first day – with the main theme of health technologies.

This included a welcome from Lorraine Maxwell CEO of AMTIL.

Minister of Advanced Manufacturing, The Honourable Colin Brooks MP highlights Victoria’s thriving manufacturing base.

Jonathan Reichwald, Director of DJSIR and Scott Edwards, also from DJSIR, highlighted the importance of health technologies as a real driver for the Victorian Economy.

CEO of BioMelbourne Network, Karen Parr, emphasised new collaboration was key to driving success across the health industry – speaking on behalf of Medtech Manufacturing Alliance.

Meanwhile, there was the launch of Manufacturing BLUEPRINT by SEMMA, presented by CEO, Honi Walker and President, Peter Angelico. The Blueprint outlines the strategies to revitalise and future-proof the sector.

The article was published whilst AMV 2025 was on-going so we could only feature the first days output. Hopefully, we may be able to cover the content of the other days in a later blog.

Meanwhile, for our part at the Australian Manufacturer’s Pavilion, it was a very successful event. We saw many potential new customers and contacts as well as some long-standing customers. They were all keen to hear about what our new Makino A500x 500 5 Axis milling machine could offer in terms of greater precision and processing, as well as hearing about our leading gear manufacturing capability. We also saw great interest in our stock gear products from KHK in Japan.
