LOOK FORWARD TO CHEAPER ENERGY

If you live or work in Victoria (like Ronson Gears) then by as early as 2030 – just over 5 years away – we could be looking forward to cheaper energy bills. All thanks to harnessing the power of the Victorian sunshine.

Renewable energy developer BrighNight has just been given the go ahead to create the $700 million Mortlake Energy Hub, according to the article featured below from Manufacturers’ Monthly.

The Hub will soak up renewable energy and deploy the energy back into the grid as it is required to support Victorian homes and businesses.

So what will the hub generate and when will it comes on stream?

The Hub will go a long way to reaching Victoria’s renewable energy target by not only generating energy but more crucially storing it to be accessed when needed. Achieving the target is expected to create 59,000 jobs and ensure a stream of cheaper energy.

Keeping energy costs down are going to be extremely beneficial to Victorian manufacturers like Ronson Gears and will help maintain and enhance our competitive edge.

By 2030, we should be seeing the benefits of this renewable energy stream – shine on!
