The British Gear Association has just featured the results of the Eurotrans survey into the state of the industry in July (after/during) the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The objective was to monitor the effect on gear manufacturers in continental Europe.
Whilst this is obviously specific to the region, it provides an important yardstick for other regions of the world as it is one of the first major ‘flash’ surveys since the outbreak.
The link here provides a snapshot of the survey’s findings. So what does it cover?
The snapshot survey reveals the effects on the gear manufacturing industry in continental Europe after/during the first wave of the pandemic.
The countries featured are ex-UK and from the European continent and include Belgium, France, Finland, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Turkey.
The survey covers a number of crucial metrics such as turnover and order intake that are measured (+/-) given the effects of the pandemic.
