The Australian Aboriginal Mining Corporation (AAMC) has secured funding to deliver Australia’s first indigenous-owned and operated iron ore mine located in the Pilbara WA.
This milestone will create valuable jobs in the region for indigenous communities with an estimated 120 new jobs being created in the construction phase of the project. There will then be a further 120 on-going jobs being created when production gets underway.
On a wider level it promises the net public benefit for the project will be $300 million.
